Message to Seniors
Senior Citizens Are the Key
Why are Senior Citizens key to the Johnny GreenSeed project? Because we see you as the most experienced and knowledgeable people available to help us in obtaining and reaching our goal. We want people who really care about what they are doing and who still have a lot to give.
Basically, we would like to work with you in helping us establish our customer service area. It is a very independent and diplomatic position that will include staying in contact with an assigned group. By using phone, email, faxes or even a little Broadway show if that's your style, we want to enable comsumers and customers a communicable connection with Johnny GreenSeed. The more fun and creative, the better.
What it Involves
You will make all the decisions. Your experience along with a passion for the environment are the most important characteristics. Some ideas include organizing field trips to local gardens, hikes to local forest or showing off prized gardens. The sky is the limit.
Some of the responsibilities include updating database information on your computer, sending out greeting cards, birthday cards and other important notices to the churches, schools and non–profits. It could also include creative presentations to church parishioners, entire schools, or non–profits on anything that will help educate them to helping America go green and on becoming more energy efficient.
Skills
You will be our good will ambassadors for this project and with your ideas and creative input on ways to save the environment, I hope you can see how important this position can be.
You will be in contact with many young students, teachers, parents, members of the clergy and more. Each senior citizen, couple or group will be assigned five churches, schools or non–profits to work with. They may be in any combination.
Additional skills needed are people experienced with a computer, a pleasant personality and a genuine concern for the environment. You can work as an individual, a couple or even an entire senior home working together helping people and educating them to becoming more energy efficient.
